The Melody At Night, With You
Keith Jarrett
|
This is a quiet album of straightforward standards, nothing but Keith
Jarrett and his piano. He rarely embellishes these pieces but instead
dwells in their simple beauty. The Gershwins' "Someone to Watch over
Me" is perfectly wistful, and his version of Mario Lanza's first big
hit "Be My Love" is similarly plaintive. Jazz for a cold winter's
night, preferably one with rainfall.
