Aida
Derek Bailey
|
Sparse and lovely avant-garde jazz improvisations on a single guitar,
recorded in 1980. I am not enough of a musician to be able to speak to
the choices Bailey makes as he plays, but they certainly work for
me. This is a beautiful album, and it makes me want to explore his music
further. Listen for the alarm that goes off at the end of one of the
tracks.
