Insta-love. The jangly guitars! The harmonies! The melancholy! Sheer
bliss. From the first notes of opener "Treason" through to the quiet hum
of "Tragedy" I sit completely gobsmacked. "Block of Wood" continues on
similar themes, then near the end there is the surprising "Mad on You"
which starts out with a decidedly punky guitar line. In other words,
there is perhaps not a whole lot of variation on this album, but the
formula they got sure works for me.
So we go together like chalk and cheese I know
You may mind my reason go on and tell me now
"Treason"
You should see the letter I got today
It came out of the blue and grey
Tragedy begins at home or so I'm told
"Tragedy"
I came around to see what you'd do
This much I know to be true
"Block of Wood"
Some people say that there's times when you leave alone
I wouldn't know but I tell you (this much is true)
"Mad on You"
