I feel compelled to relate what the sticker on the front of my copy of
this album says. "Mount Sims. Provocative. Soulful. Punk. Electro."
Put it all together, what's that spell? Brattiness aside, I liked this
album a lot, despite or maybe because of its cool demeanor. "We Electric"
is as danceable as any Fischerspooner track, while "Escape Hatch" and
"Rational Behavior" make good use of the pulsing electronic noises I love
so well, bleepy bloopy goodness. If you're looking for sex look no
further than "Come and Get It," where the business is matter-of-fact and
even quite funny. Electro with a sense of humor about itself is all right
by me.
