Pretty pop-rock from a bassist who's worked with everyone. You know the redhead in the tub in the B-52's "Love Shack" video? That's Sara Lee. She was Ani DiFranco's bassist for a little while and has appeared on albums by Fiona Apple and Catherine Wheel. I was surprised to hear how soft and beautiful her voice is on this album, and that definitely keeps you going for the first few listens. I think ultimately the reflective lyrics from the likes of Ani hold up a little better than the music, but Lee's singing is great throughout.
