A Book Lover's Treasury of Stories, Essays, Humor, Lore, and Lists on Collecting, Reading, Borrowing, Lending, Caring for, and Appreciating Books. I have always loved books. My parents used to give me a $20 gift certificate to B. Dalton for my birthday every year, and I would spend hours in the bookstore seeing how far I could stretch it. I've had to cut back on purchasing recently, but this book has me itching to start filling my shelves once again. Everything in here is simply delightful, with selections from authors as diverse as Umberto Eco and Anna Quindlen. My favorite piece was George Hamilton Fitch's "Comfort Found in Good Old Books" about the death of his son. This book made me feel as if I should be reading more than I am already, and that really is saying something.
