Each week when I sit down to write I spend a lot of time pissing and
moaning about how hard it is to come up with a few half-assed
paragraphs. However, I do appreciate the discipline that I've been

Instead I'm still reeling from the second Shuttle disaster in my
short lifetime. Suddenly I'm nine years old again, sneaking off from
my classmates to bury my sobs in my kneecaps under a tree in the
school parking lot. Or maybe I'm seven, watching Columbia land
at Edwards AFB and hoping with my whole heart that I would be flying
it myself someday.
